Finding us at No.163 on the II Cross in R.K. Layout can be a bit of a challenge if you are not familiar with this part of Padmanabhanagar. Bangalore has changed a lot, but this little pocket still feels a bit more like the old days. We are part of Roots Corporation Ltd, which is under the Tata Enterprises umbrella, but you would not really know it just by looking at our local setup. The office is tucked into the II Main area, and it is usually pretty quiet except for the sound of the birds and the occasional scooter zooming past. We spend our mornings going through emails and making sure everything is lined up for the day. The building is a bit older, with some narrow stairs and rooms that stay surprisingly cool even when it is bright outside. We do not have a big reception desk or anyone in a fancy suit waiting at the door. It is mostly just us sitting at our desks and getting on with things. Sometimes we have meetings that go on too long because the coffee machine takes forever to brew a single pot. People in the neighborhood know where we are, but we do not get a lot of random walk-ins. It is a steady place to work, and we like that we are away from the massive traffic jams of the main city center. We just focus on the daily chores and keep the paperwork organized in the back room.
