Replicon Software India Pvt Ltd is based on St.Anthonys School Road in Bangalore. It is a busy little stretch of road, especially when the kids are getting dropped off or picked up from school. Our office is right in the middle of all that activity. We spend most of our time at our computers, which is pretty much what you’d expect from a software place in this city. The office has that typical Bangalore feel, with a lot of coffee being drunk and people talking about code or projects in the breakroom. It’s not a super formal environment; you’ll see people in jeans just trying to get through their task lists. The traffic on St.Anthonys School Road can be a real pain during rush hour, so a lot of us end up staying a bit late or coming in early to avoid the worst of it. We have the usual office sounds, like keyboards clicking and the hum of the air conditioning. It’s a practical space where we focus on the technical side of things without much distraction. We’ve been in this part of Karnataka for a while now, and the local shops nearby are where most of us grab lunch or a quick snack. It’s just a group of people working hard in a regular office building. We don’t really go for those big motivational posters; we just prefer to put our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
