Renuka Travels

Our office is located at 11/B in the CSC Plaza on Subash Road in J C Nagar. It’s a typical commercial building, so it’s always a bit loud with people moving around. Renuka Travels has been running from this small space for quite a while. We have a couple of old computers and stacks of booking registers. The walls are covered with some travel posters that have started to curl at the edges. We spend most of our time on the phone talking to bus operators and hotel managers. It can get stressful when a trip doesn't go right, but we just try to find a solution. There’s no fancy waiting area here. People just stand around the desk or sit on the few stools we have. We drink a lot of chai from the stall downstairs. The plaza gets very crowded in the evenings, especially when people are finishing work. Finding a spot to park even a bike can be a struggle on Subash Road. We don’t have any big marketing budget. Most of our customers are locals who have been using us for years. They know we’ll be here from morning until late. We don’t wear uniforms or anything corporate. It’s just us in our regular clothes, trying to keep the bookings organized. It's a busy, dusty, and honest kind of business. We’ve seen many shops in the plaza change, but we’re still here in 11/B. That is how it is.
