Our place, Rbei, is located at A-190 in Sector 2 of the HMT Colony in Bangalore. If you know this part of the city, you know it has a very specific feel because of the history of the colony. We’ve been operating from here for a bit, and it’s a decent spot away from the absolute madness of the main city traffic, though the commute still takes its toll on everyone. The building is simple and doesn’t stand out too much, which suits us just fine. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and people working on their computers. We have a routine that we stick to. Usually, the mornings start with everyone grabbing coffee and checking what needs to be done for the day. It’s not a high-pressure corporate environment where everyone is wearing suits. Most of us dress casually and just get the job done. Sometimes we walk around the colony during lunch just to get some air. Bangalore weather is usually okay, but the afternoons can get a bit warm inside the office. We don’t do a lot of talking about ourselves or what we plan to do in ten years. We just focus on the projects that are on our desks right now. It’s a practical way to run things. The street is usually quiet, except for the occasional delivery bike or someone walking their dog through the neighborhood.
