You can find us at number 12, right near the Annam Temple in the Sivanchetty Garden area. It is a relatively quiet little corner of the city compared to some of the big main roads. The temple is a very nice landmark to have nearby, and you can usually hear the morning bells ringing from inside the shop. We have been running this place for a good while now. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we like to keep a lot of variety on the shelves for people to look at. Sometimes you have to turn sideways to get down the narrow aisles. We don't have any big corporate backing or anything fancy like that. It is just us. My brother comes in to help out on the weekends when I need a break. We handle all the cleaning and the stocking of the shelves ourselves. Sometimes the deliveries arrive in big wooden crates that we have to break down right there on the sidewalk because there just isn't enough room to do it inside. People in the neighborhood know us by name, which makes the day go by faster. We are not looking to expand or move to some bigger place in a mall. This spot suits us just fine. We have a small desk in the back where we do all the paperwork by hand. It can get a bit hot in the afternoons, so we keep the front door propped open.
