Ravi Bangles And Novelties is tucked away in the Maruthi Lodge Building at 79/3 Mamulpet. If you have ever been to Mamulpet, you know it is a very crowded and busy market area. We have been in this building for quite a while now. Our shop is filled with all sorts of colorful bangles and small novelty items that people need for weddings or festivals. It is a small space, so we have to be very careful about where we put everything. Usually, the shelves are packed right up to the ceiling. We spend a lot of our time unpacking new stock and chatting with the people who wander in from the street. The noise from the market outside is always there, but it’s just part of the atmosphere here. We don’t have any fancy displays or a big website to show off what we have. People usually find us by word of mouth or just by walking past the lodge. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we keep a small fan running behind the counter. Most of the other shopkeepers around here are friends of ours. We all help each other out when things get busy. It is a simple life and we enjoy being part of the Mamulpet market. We open up the shop every morning and stay until the street lights come on.
