Our place at Rathod Build Mart Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore is tucked away in the 1st Stage Industrial Suburb of Yeshwanthpur. If you know the area, you know it’s mostly warehouses and big trucks moving around all day long. We are right near the Government Factory, so there is always a low hum of machinery in the background that we don't even notice anymore. The office at No. 148- B is usually covered in a thin layer of dust from the road, no matter how much we sweep. It’s an industrial spot, so we don’t expect it to stay sparkling clean. We spend most of our hours checking inventory and making sure everything is where it should be. The phone rings a lot, and half the time it’s someone asking for directions because the side streets here can get confusing for new drivers. We’ve got a small kettle in the back that stays on for most of the morning. Most of our days are spent talking to drivers and workers who are just trying to get their jobs finished. It's a practical environment. We don't have fancy furniture or a big lobby. There’s just a counter, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of work to get through before the sun goes down. Bangalore traffic gets pretty bad around here in the evenings, so we usually try to wrap things up before the main roads turn into a parking lot.
