Rashmi Solar

Over at 60 & 61 Mangammana Palya, you’ll find our place, Rashmi Solar. We’ve been operating out of these two units for a bit now, and it’s a busy little setup. Being in Mangammana Palya means we’re around a lot of other working folks, which we like. We deal with solar power equipment, which involves a lot of lifting, mounting, and wiring. Our space is mostly filled with panels, frames, and various bits of hardware that we need for our projects. It’s not the cleanest or the most organized looking place, but we have our own system for finding things. We don't spend much money on advertising or making ourselves look big. Most people find us because they saw our work somewhere or heard about us from a neighbor. We just want to help people get set up with solar so they can save a bit on their bills. Some days we’re out on a roof all day under the sun, and other days we’re just in the shop tinkering with components. It’s a practical business run by people who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. We’ve had some tough times like any small business, but we just keep showing up and doing the work. It’s a simple life, really, just moving from one job to the next and hoping the weather stays clear for us. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work, and there's always a debate about what station to listen to.
