Ramesha M

Being right near Geethanjali Theatre means there is always something happening outside. Ramesha M is the name we use, and we’ve been at 173 Malleshwaram Link Road for a good while. The first floor is a decent spot, even if the Link Road traffic gets a bit much during the peak hours. You can hear the crowds from the cinema sometimes when a big movie is playing, which adds a bit of life to the day. The building itself is older, and you can tell by the way the windows rattle when a heavy truck goes past. I usually spend the morning tidying up the space before the sun gets too high. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes off the street. There is a small tea stall just a few doors down where everyone gathers, and the smell of ginger tea often drifts up here. Malleshwaram has a certain way about it, very traditional but always moving. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles in the office, just the essentials to get through the tasks. The floor tiles are a bit worn down in the spots where we walk the most. It’s a simple life here, just showing up and doing what needs to be done until the sun goes down and the theatre lights start glowing bright. We like the neighborhood and the people who walk by.
