Rajkshi

Our place, Rajkshi, is located on the first floor of a building at 87/5b Bannerghatta Road. We are quite close to the Shakthi Ganapathy Temple Road, so we often hear the bells and the morning prayers while we are setting up for the day. Being on the first floor means people have to walk up the stairs, which some complain about, but it’s quieter than being right on the street level. We deal with a bit of everything here, mostly things related to clothing and fabrics. The space is usually a bit of a mess with rolls of cloth or half-finished orders sitting on the tables. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything; we just do our work and hope people like what we make. Bannerghatta Road is always jammed with traffic, so we see a lot of people looking out of bus windows as they crawl past. Sometimes a customer comes in looking for something very specific, and we spend hours trying to get it just right for them. We aren't always on time with every single thing, as some jobs take longer than expected, but we try our best. It’s a small operation, just a couple of us working through the piles of work. We like the neighborhood, even with all the noise and the dust from the road construction outside.
