Rajeshwar Fancy Store

Rajeshwar Fancy Store is located in Kuttiyappa Garden in the Bagalagunte area. It’s a quiet corner for the most part. Our shop is where people usually come for their daily bits and pieces. We have sewing needles, yarn, small toys, and some basic makeup items. My wife helps me out in the late afternoons when the school kids finish their classes and stop by. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside. It is just a regular storefront with a blue metal shutter. We have been here in Bagalagunte for several years now. Most of our customers are neighbors who have lived in these streets as long as we have. We know most of their names and what they usually come in to buy. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoons, so we just sit outside on the plastic chairs until the lights come back on. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here. The shelves are a bit cluttered because we try to fit so many different things into such a small space. You might find a cricket ball sitting right next to a packet of safety pins. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. We like the neighborhood though. It feels like home and the business keeps us busy enough to get by. We usually open around ten thirty. It is just a basic local store for everyone.
