My name is Rajanna and I've been around Gandhi Nagar for quite a while now. Most people here just know me by my name or maybe they’ve seen the house at 212 Kurubanahalli. It's not a big fancy office or anything like that, just where I get my work done. I started doing this because I needed something to keep busy and it turned out there was plenty to do right here in the neighborhood. Some days it’s quiet, other days people are dropping by constantly with questions or just to see what’s happening. I don't really have a big staff, it’s mostly just me handling things as they come. I’ve lived in this part of town for years so I know the streets and the faces pretty well. It feels good to be part of the community and contribute in whatever small way I can. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk and the phone rings more than I’d like, but that’s just how it goes when you’re running things yourself. I’m usually around during the day unless I had to step out for an errand. If the gate is open, I’m probably inside. I don’t go for all that modern advertising stuff, just word of mouth and being honest with people. It keeps life simple and that is how I like it. If you get lost, just ask the tea stall at the corner. I've lived here so long that even the stray dogs know me. My daily routine is pretty set. I wake up, have my coffee, and then open up for whoever needs help. It's not a business that needs a big website or shiny brochures. People in Kurubanahalli are good neighbors. We look out for each other. It's a simple way to live and work, and I wouldn't change it.
