The hospital is the main landmark for everyone around here. Our office is on the ground floor. It is filled with computers, monitors, and tangled cables. We spend most of our time looking at screens or taking apart hardware to see why it isn't working right. There is always a low hum from the cooling fans. It is a quiet place for the most part, except for the sound of clicking keyboards. We have a few desks pushed against the walls to make more room in the middle. Sometimes we have to go out to other offices to set things up, but this is where we do the real bench work. The walls are plain and we have a small shelf for technical manuals that we rarely look at anymore because everything is online. We keep a kettle in the corner for making coffee during long afternoons. Rajajinagar is a busy place, but our little corner on 46th Cross stays relatively calm. People usually call us first before dropping off their equipment. We just take things as they come and try to get the repairs done so we don't have a backlog. It is just a few of us here doing what we know how to do.
