We’ve been here at Shop No. 1 on Vasanthpura Main Road for a good while now. If you know the Konanakunte Cross area, you probably know how busy it gets around here in the evenings. We usually open up early to get a head start on the day before the traffic really picks up. Our shop is one of those places where you find all the small things you didn't know you needed until you saw them. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the shelves because there are so many tiny items, from threads to bangles and gift wraps. It gets a bit dusty with the road right there, so cleaning is a never-ending job for us. Sometimes people just pop in because they're waiting for a bus and want to look around. We don't mind. It’s nice to have the company. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first started, with more buildings going up and new people moving into the apartments nearby. We try to keep what people ask for, but sometimes we run out of space. The shop isn't huge, but we make it work. Most days are just about managing the inventory and making sure everything is in its place. We aren't doing anything fancy despite the name, just running a regular local business and trying to keep things simple for everyone who walks through the door.
