Rahilsons

Rahilsons is located at number 16 in Kumbarpet Mosque Lane, which is right in the heart of the action near Citi Market. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s crowded and loud and always moving. Our shop is tucked into one of those narrow lanes where the smell of the market and the sound of carts are constant. It’s an old building, nothing fancy about it at all. We handle a lot of different goods and people are constantly coming and going with boxes or asking about stock. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to make use of every inch of space for storage. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the neighbors and the tea sellers nearby. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just open up early and stay until the work is finished. The mosque lane is a busy place, and finding a spot for a vehicle is nearly impossible, so most people just walk in. The floor is concrete, the lights are simple, and we spend most of our time counting items or checking orders. It’s hard work, especially in the heat, but we’ve got a rhythm down. We aren’t interested in making the place look like a showroom. It’s a warehouse and a shop first, and that’s how we keep it running every single day. The market life suits us just fine despite the daily noise.
