My place is tucked away in Victoria Layout, over on Anjaneya Temple Street. The address is number 6, and it’s right near the Y P Palya Police Officers Quarters. It’s a nice part of town, relatively calm compared to the center of the city. The temple is a good landmark for people trying to find me for the first time. I’ve been working from this spot for a while now, and I’ve grown fond of the neighborhood. The building isn’t anything special to look at, just a standard structure that’s seen its fair share of years. Inside, it’s a bit cluttered with books and papers, but I know where everything is. I don't have a big staff or a fancy lobby. It’s mostly just me here, taking care of whatever needs doing. The street outside can get a bit narrow when cars are parked on both sides, but that’s just how it is in this area. I like the sound of the temple bells in the mornings; it gives a bit of a peaceful start to the day. People drop in occasionally, mostly folks from nearby who’ve known me for years. It’s an honest sort of place. No one is trying to impress anyone here. We just do the work that comes our way and try to keep things running smoothly. It's a comfortable routine in a familiar corner of the city. I plan on staying here as long as possible.
