Raf Stationery Mfg. Co is tucked away in No.277, Pillana Garden. It’s on the 8th Cross in the 3rd Stage of Bangalore. It’s a bit of a maze to find us if you’re not from around here. The building is older and we use most of the space for the machines and stacks of paper. You can hear the cutting machines from the street when we are busy with a big order. It’s always smelling like glue and fresh ink in here, which I’ve grown to like over the years. We make all sorts of basic stationery items. It’s a family-run kind of vibe, so there’s always someone drinking tea or moving boxes around. Bangalore traffic makes deliveries a headache, but we manage. The 3rd Stage has changed a lot since we moved in, but our corner stays pretty much the same. We have these big windows that let in some light, but mostly it’s fluorescent bulbs overhead. The floor is concrete and has stains from years of work. We don’t have a sales team or anything, just us making sure the notebooks and files are put together right. It gets really crowded during the school season when everyone wants their supplies at the same time. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It’s a small operation but it keeps us busy every single day. We don't have any fancy brochures to show people, just the actual products we make.
