R. K. Seed Farms

R. K. Seed Farms is based out of Rajarajeshwari Nagar, over in the Kempegowda Ward on the 4th Main in Gandhinagar. Our address is 280/2, which is easy to find if you know the area. We deal with seeds and farm-related things, so our place usually smells a bit like earth and dried plants. We have bags of different seeds stacked up, and we try to keep them away from the damp when it rains. It’s not a fancy office, just a practical space where farmers and local gardeners can come and get what they need for their patches of land. We spend a lot of time talking to people about what grows best in this soil and what time of year is right for planting certain things. The 4th Main gets quite a bit of foot traffic, so we see a lot of people passing by. We don't have any big fancy signs, just the name of the shop and the bags sitting out front. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy on the desk, but we know where everything is. My family has been doing this for a while, and we just like the feeling of helping things grow. It’s a quiet kind of work most of the time, except when it’s the planting season and everyone comes in at once. We just do our best to keep the stock ready for them. When the day is done, we lock up the shutters and head home.
