You can find R K M Tours & Travels on the ground floor at 6 Horamavu Ghodasar Road. We are right near the railway gate, so we hear the trains passing by all the time. It’s a simple office where we have a couple of desks and some chairs for people to sit. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at computer screens. The walls have some old calendars and maybe a map or two. It’s not a polished travel agency with glossy brochures everywhere. We mostly handle bookings for buses, cars, and trips for people in the area. The ground floor location makes it easy for people to just walk in off the street. Sometimes it gets dusty because of the road work outside or the trains kicking up dirt. We deal with drivers and different transport companies. There is always a bit of paperwork involved with every trip. We try to keep things clear so there are no surprises for anyone traveling. Some days are hectic when everyone wants to go somewhere for a holiday. Other days we just sit and wait for the phone to ring. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. It’s a basic business and we just focus on getting people from one place to another without much fuss. If you see the gate closed when you arrive, you might have to wait a little while.
