You can find us at 53 Shivaji Nagar Main Road. It’s a pretty straightforward shop, nothing too flashy on the outside. We’ve got a counter where people set down their laptops when they’ve had a spill or a crash. The main road is always loud with horns and buses passing by, so we usually have the radio playing in the background to drown some of that out. Most of our days are spent with a screwdriver in hand, opening up casings and cleaning out dust. We have some new parts on display, but a lot of what we have is tucked away in the back room where we keep the older stuff for repairs. It’s a small team here, just a few of us who know our way around a motherboard. We don’t really do fancy sales pitches; if a machine is old and not worth fixing, we just say so. It’s better to be straight with folks. The floor is tile and it’s seen a lot of wear over the years. Sometimes the delivery guys struggle to find a place to park on the street, so we end up carrying boxes of keyboards and mice from a block away. It’s just the regular routine of a local business in a busy part of Shivaji Nagar. We keep the shop open until late because that’s when most people finish work and bring their stuff in.
