R Gopal Krishna

Being on Avenue Road means things are always moving fast. R Gopal Krishna is located on the first floor of the Chandra Building, which is right on the main road at number 612. If you know Avenue Road, you know how packed it gets with shoppers and carts and everything else. Our office is up the stairs, away from most of the shouting on the street level, though you can still hear the horns honking all day long. It's a bit of an old building, but it’s sturdy and right in the middle of everything. I spend most of my time here shuffling through papers and talking to people who come up the stairs. The stairs are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step. We don't have fancy lights or air conditioning that works perfectly all the time. It’s a practical workspace for practical people. Most of the folks who come to see us have been coming for years. We know the other shop owners in the Chandra Building pretty well. It’s a tight community even if it’s loud. Sometimes we have to move boxes around just to find a place to sit, but that's just how it goes when you’re in a busy market area. We keep things simple and don't try to act like we’re something we aren't. We're just here working and getting through the pile on the desk.
