R G Hegde is located in the Guru Gobind Singh Industrial Estate, right there in Sahakara Nagar. Our unit is 1037-A. Being in an industrial estate means there’s always something going on. You hear machines humming and vans loading up all day. It’s a busy atmosphere but we like the energy of it. Our space is mostly functional. We’ve got shelves lined with various things and a couple of workstations. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find plush carpets or fancy art. It’s an industrial area, so everything is built for work. The floors are concrete and we keep them as clean as we can, though dust always finds its way in no matter how much we sweep. Sahakara Nagar is a good spot to be. We’ve got plenty of neighbors who are also running their own small operations. Sometimes we trade favors or borrow a tool if someone is short. It’s that kind of place. We’ve been at 1037-A for a while now and know the delivery drivers by name. If you come by, you’ll see our sign. It’s nothing big or flashy. We just focus on getting through the tasks we have for the day. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to catch up on, but usually, we’re out by evening like everyone else. It’s a solid place to work, and we’re happy with the spot we have here in the estate.
