Our office is on Myrtle Lane, right in the middle of Richmond Town. It’s a quiet little pocket compared to the rest of the city. We’ve been at number 5 for some time now. R C Architecture Pvt Ltd sounds like a big name, but we’re really just a small group of people who enjoy the process of putting a building together. We don't go for those flashy glass towers you see everywhere. We like the older character of this neighborhood and try to keep that feeling in mind, even when we’re working on something modern. The day usually starts with a lot of emails and ends with us looking at site samples under different lights. We get our hands dirty sometimes, going out to check on foundations or see if the brickwork is straight. It isn't always pretty. There are plenty of days spent arguing with vendors or waiting for a permit that’s stuck in some office. But that is just the nature of the business. We don't have a fancy reception desk or anything. You just walk in and we're usually all at our tables working. We take our work seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. If a design doesn't work, we scrap it and start over. It’s about getting it right for the people who actually have to use the space every day. We just try to be practical and helpful.
