R A Bharath Metals

R A Bharath Metals is situated at 156/4 in Kalasipalyam, right near KR Market. It is a very busy and loud area to work in. The market starts moving way before the sun is even up. We get here early to open the shutters. The building is quite old and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. We have a mix of new metal and some scrap. People come to us looking for all sorts of bits and pieces. It is a lot of digging through piles to find the right thing. The air is thick with the sounds of the market and the smell of the city. We keep everything in big ledgers. We don't have a computer in the shop. It feels more natural to just write things down. My family has been doing this for a long time. We have seen the market change a lot over the decades. There is a lot more plastic now and less metal, but we still keep busy. We eat our lunch out of steel tiffins while sitting on crates. It is not a glamorous life but it is what we know. If you need a piece of iron or some heavy rods, you come to 156/4. We will be there every day except for the main holidays.
