Working out of an apartment building like this in Brookefield gives the whole thing a very different feel than a standard office park. We have the usual setup with desks squeezed into the rooms, and the balcony gives us a view of the heavy traffic on the main road. It’s a busy area, but once the door is shut, we can focus. There are about six of us usually here at any given time. We spend a lot of our hours looking at screens and discussing how to fix bugs or improve the way things work. The kitchen in the flat is where we all end up for lunch or to make tea when someone gets tired. It feels more like a home than a workplace sometimes, which we think is better for everyone's stress levels. We don’t have a marketing team or people in fancy outfits. We are just a small group of partners and staff trying to make a living and do decent work. Living and working in the North Bangalore area means we deal with the same commutes and power cuts as everyone else. We just take things as they come and keep our heads down. It’s a straightforward operation without any unnecessary layers or corporate talk.
