We’ve been here at Safina Plaza on Infantry Road for a long time now. It’s a small shop, number 3 to be exact, and we mostly just deal with watches. People come in when their battery dies or if the strap breaks. Sometimes they just want to look at what’s new on the shelf. My desk is usually covered in tiny screws and tools because there is always something to fix. Infantry Road gets quite busy, especially in the afternoons, but inside it’s usually quiet enough to concentrate. We don’t do anything fancy here, just basic watch stuff. If you’ve walked past the plaza, you probably saw our sign. It’s nothing big. I started doing this because I liked how gears worked, and now it’s just what I do every day. Customers come from the offices nearby mostly. They drop off a watch in the morning and pick it up after work. It’s a simple routine. We have a few different brands, but nothing too expensive. It’s just practical things that tell the time. Sometimes the lighting in the shop is a bit dim, but I have a good lamp for the workbench. That’s pretty much the whole story of this place. We open in the morning, drink some tea, fix some watches, and go home when the sun sets. It’s not a big corporate office, just a local spot for people who need their watches sorted out without any fuss. I guess we will be here for a long time yet.
