Pushpa Novelty

Our shop, Pushpa Novelty, is tucked away on the 1st floor of the Bajaj Complex. You have to walk up the stairs to find us at unit F-3. We are right on Thindlu Main Road in Gandhi Nagar, which stays pretty busy most of the day. Being so close to the Thribuvan Theatre means we get a lot of people wandering in before or after their shows. We have a lot of small items packed into the space. It’s mostly stuff for gifts or little things people like to collect. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once, but we manage. The lighting in the hallway of the complex isn't the best, but our shop is bright enough once you step inside. We don't do any big marketing or anything; people usually just find us by seeing the sign near the stairs. We spend a lot of time organizing the shelves because there are so many tiny pieces to look after. Gandhi Nagar has a lot of energy, and we like being part of it. We open up mid-morning and usually stay until the last show at the theatre starts getting busy. It’s just a regular local business where we know the other shopkeepers in the building. We keep a ledger for the sales and try to keep things simple. It’s nothing fancy, just a room full of things we hope people like to buy.
