Propelant Software Solutions is over in Bangalore South, located on the 4th floor of the Supreme Chaitanya Apartments. It is unit 302, to be exact. It’s a bit unusual having a software office in an apartment building, but it actually works out quite well for us. The 560076 area is pretty busy, but once you get up to the 4th floor, things quiet down a bit. We don’t have a massive sign or anything, so you have to know which doorbell to ring. It’s just a small group of us working on various software projects throughout the week. The elevator can be a little slow sometimes, so we usually end up taking the stairs if we are in a hurry. We are not a giant firm with hundreds of employees; we are a tight-knit crew that likes to focus on writing good code. The kitchen in the unit serves as our break room, which is where most of the actual problem-solving happens over tea. It feels more like a workshop than a corporate office. We like the independence of being an LLP and managing things our own way. There is a decent view of the neighborhood from the balcony, which is nice when you need to step away from the monitor for five minutes. It is a straightforward, no-nonsense place to work, and that is exactly how we like it.
