Programmer

I've been running things here at Flat F4 for a good while now. It's located right opposite Nancy Engg. Works on the V. E. S Convent School Road in Garvebhavipalaya. If you know Bangalore, you know how busy these streets can get, especially when the local school lets out and all the parents are picking up their kids. Being called Programmer is pretty straightforward because that is exactly what happens in this room every single day. There isn't any fancy office setup with glass walls or big signs outside the door. It is just me and the equipment here in the flat. The neighborhood is mostly houses and small shops, and you can hear the local traffic from the window all day long. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains, which is just part of living in this part of town. I don't spend much time on decorations or making things look corporate. Most of my day is spent sitting at the desk, looking at lines of code and trying to figure out why something isn't working right. People usually find me through word of mouth or if they live nearby in the Garvebhavipalaya area. It’s a quiet way to make a living, mostly. I like the fact that I can just walk downstairs and grab a tea from the stall nearby when I need a break. There are no big meetings or polished speeches here, just the daily work of getting things done in this little corner of Bangalore.
