Priyanjal Farms

We run our business out of BTM Layout near the Channi Jakatnaka area. Priyanjal Farms is not a large farming plot right here in the city, but it is the place where we manage all our produce and get it ready for the customers. We deal with fresh vegetables and fruits that arrive very early in the morning while most people are still sleeping. The crates are always stacked high and there is usually a bit of soil on the floor that we have to sweep up later. It is a hectic start to the day because we have to sort everything and get it moving before the heat makes the greens wilt. We have been based in BTM Layout for several years now. The traffic around the Jakatnaka can be a real problem when we are trying to get our delivery van out on the road. We do not have a fancy storefront with bright lights. It is a functional space where we focus on getting the work done. A few of us work here together, mostly family members and a couple of guys from the neighborhood. We drink a lot of hot tea while we sit and sort through the onions and potatoes. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to get good stock but we do our best with what is available. People know they can come to us for stuff that is actually fresh. We keep it simple and just do our daily work.
