We are located at number 1755 in Kumarswamy Layout, which is where Praveen Infotech runs from. It’s a residential-feeling area, which makes the office feel a bit more relaxed than if we were in a big commercial hub. We’ve been here for a good amount of time now. The business is mostly about computers and information technology. We handle a lot of different things, from helping people with their personal laptops to setting up systems for smaller local offices. It’s a small operation, and the owner is usually around somewhere, either on the phone or working on a machine. The front of the shop is often busy with people dropping off devices or asking for advice on what they should buy. It’s not a very big space, so it can get crowded quickly if three or four people walk in at once. We keep a lot of spare parts on the shelves, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what we need. We don't do any big advertising; most of our customers come from word of mouth around the layout. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it works for us. We just take each day as it comes and try to be as helpful as possible. The atmosphere is pretty casual, and we usually have the radio playing in the background while we work on whatever is on the bench that day.
