We are located at 714, S. R. K. Plaza, right there in Garebnhavipalya on Hosur Main Road. If you know that area, you know how crazy the traffic can get at almost any time of day. The sound of horns and engines is like background music for us while we work. Being on the Hosur Main Road means we’re in a prime spot for getting things moved, but it also means it’s never really quiet. Inside S. R. K. Plaza, Prateek Apparels is a hive of activity. We’ve got rows of machines and people busy with garments at every stage of the process. There’s thread and scraps of cloth on the floor by the end of every shift. We aren’t really interested in having a shiny, perfect showroom for people to look at. Our space is more about getting the clothes made and boxed up for delivery. The desks in the front are usually covered in sketches, order forms, and half-empty coffee cups. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is when we need it. We have people coming in and out constantly—suppliers, drivers, and the occasional neighbor dropping by to say hello. It’s a fast-paced environment and it can get a little stressful when a big deadline is coming up. But we’ve got a rhythm to it after all these years. We just keep our heads down and stay focused on the garments.
