I’ve been working out of this space at 101 Brigade Road on Raipur Road for quite some time. It’s a busy intersection and there is always something going on outside the window. My work is pretty straightforward, mostly dealing with people who come in looking for some help or advice with their paperwork and daily business needs. I’m usually here from morning until late evening. It’s just me and a small desk, keeping track of things and making sure everything is in order. People stop by because they know the location or they’ve been told to come see me by a friend. I don’t go in for fancy signs or big marketing plans. I just think if you do a decent job and treat people fairly, they’ll come back. The building is an older one, so it has its quirks, like the slow elevator and the way the lights flicker sometimes when it rains. But it’s home for my work. Sometimes the noise from Raipur Road gets a bit loud, but you get used to it after a few months. I like being in this part of town because it feels like the heart of the city. There’s a tea stall nearby where I usually take my breaks and chat with the other shop owners. It’s a simple life, just running my own thing and helping out the locals who need whatever it is I’m working on that day.
