We are over in K K Nagar, specifically on 47th Street in the 9th Sector. It is a busy part of Chennai and we have been running this travel thing for a good while now. Most people come in wanting to book a train or maybe a flight for a wedding or a family holiday. It gets quite loud outside with the traffic, but inside we just try to keep the bookings straight and the papers organized. There is a lot of paperwork with visas and tickets these days, more than there used to be years ago. We handle the 645 A spot and usually, there is someone at the desk from morning till late evening. Traveling can be a headache with all the changes in schedules, so we spend a lot of time on the phone checking things for people. We are not a giant company with thousands of staff. It is just a handful of us trying to make sure nobody gets stuck at an airport. Sometimes the internet is slow or a booking site crashes right when we need it, which is frustrating, but we deal with it. People in the neighborhood just drop by to ask about bus timings or tour prices. We do not have fancy brochures for everywhere in the world, just the stuff people actually ask for. It is a decent living and we like talking to the regulars who come back every year. It is just how things go here.
