Prakash S V

I’ve been here at 14/8 Basavanagudi for quite a long time now. Most people know this part of Jain Temple Street because of the temple itself, which is just a short walk away. It gets quite busy during the festival times and on weekends. My name is Prakash S V and I usually open up early in the morning before the heat starts to pick up. The building we are in is one of those older ones that has a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit much if you are carrying anything heavy. We just handle things as they come. It is not some fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. Just a desk, some chairs, and plenty of paperwork. The neighbors around here are mostly folks who have been in Basavanagudi for decades. We talk about the weather or how the traffic on the main road is getting worse every year. Sometimes I wonder where all the time goes. One minute it is Monday and the next thing you know, it is Saturday afternoon and I am locking up. There isn’t much to say other than we are just here doing our thing every day. People stop by, ask a few questions, and we try to help them out if we can. It’s a simple way to make a living and I don't see myself moving anywhere else anytime soon.
