Prakash Paradise

Prakash Paradise is situated on the 1st Floor at number 80. We are right opposite the Udupi Krishna Bhavan in Chickpet. If you know the area, you know that the smell of sambar and filter coffee from the restaurant often drifts across the street to us. Being on the first floor means we are slightly removed from the immediate chaos of the street level, but we can still hear everything going on below. Chickpet is a very active place, and our building at number 80 is right in the thick of it. The stairs up to our place are a bit steep, so we get a little bit of a workout every time we come and go. Inside, it’s a functional space where we handle our business. We have shelves and a few tables, and everything is geared toward getting the job done. It’s not a luxury showroom or anything like that. It’s more of a workspace where we spend our eight or nine hours a day. We have some regular visitors who know exactly where to find us. Usually, the afternoons are the busiest time when the market is in full swing. We just focus on our tasks and try to stay productive despite the noise and the heat. It’s a very grounded way to work, and we’ve been in this spot long enough that the rhythms of Chickpet feel like home to all of us.
