Hemalatha Garments

We have been at 152/26 for a while now. It is on 2nd Main Road. Hemalatha Garments isn't a huge factory, just a local spot where we handle clothes. People around 2nd Cross usually know where we are. It is a busy street, and sometimes it is hard to find a spot for a scooter. We spend most of the day with the machines running. It gets loud in here, but that is how it goes. We do a lot of stitching and basic alterations. Sometimes it is just simple repairs or making something from scratch when a neighbor brings in some fabric they bought. We do not have a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just some heavy tables, racks, and a lot of different colored thread everywhere. My sister and a couple of helpers are usually here from early morning until the sun goes down. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the sleeves are even. It is simple work but it keeps us busy. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but we catch up eventually. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. There is much more traffic now. But we stay right here at No. 152/26. It is what we know. We are not trying to be some big brand. We just like being the place people come when they need a shirt fixed. It is just us doing our thing.
