My office is tucked away on the second floor of number 21/2, which you can find on 1st Main in Gandhi Nagar. It is a busy part of town, especially since it is so close to the main roads and bus stands. Getting up to the second floor takes a little effort since there is no lift, but it is a good way to stay active. The space is quite basic, with a couple of desks and some chairs for whoever comes to visit. I have been based in Gandhi Nagar for a long time and I know the local area like the back of my hand. The office is usually filled with the sound of the city from the street below. I spend most of my time sorting through documents and taking calls. It is not a very big operation, just me and a bit of help when things get really busy. I do not see the need for a lot of fancy decorations, so the walls are mostly bare except for some calendars. Most people who come here are looking for straightforward help with their business matters. We usually sit down for a chat and some tea while we go over the details. It is a very regular, honest way of working that has suited me well for years. I like the consistency of coming here every morning and seeing the familiar faces of the other shop owners nearby. It is just a normal office for normal daily work.
