I’m based out of the Langford Town area, specifically in the Police Quarters at Shantinagar. My unit is B 4 on Berlie Street. It’s a bit of a different environment than a regular commercial building since it’s part of the quarters. It’s usually pretty quiet around here, which I like. There are plenty of trees on Berlie Street, so it stays a bit cooler even when the sun is out. I’ve been at this address for a long time now. The space inside is purely functional. I have my desk, my chair, and my files. I don’t go in for anything decorative. It’s more about having a reliable place to sit down and focus on the work. People who need to find me usually have the address written down because it’s a residential-style layout. I enjoy the walk to the gate in the evenings. Shantinagar has a nice feel to it, a mix of old and new Bangalore. Sometimes I see the same people walking their dogs or kids coming home from school. It’s a steady kind of life. My office isn’t a place for big meetings or anything like that. It’s just where I manage my affairs and keep things in order. It’s simple and it serves its purpose without any unnecessary fuss. I’ve always preferred a quiet spot over a busy storefront, and Berlie street provides exactly that kind of atmosphere for my work.
