If you head down to Hudson Circle and look for Vokkaligara Bhavana on H Siddaiah Road, that’s where you’ll find the office of Prabhakara Rao S. It’s a landmark building, so most of the auto drivers know exactly where to go. Being near the circle means there is always something happening outside. It’s a bit of a historic spot, and the building itself has that old-school feel to it. Inside, it’s pretty basic. We’ve got the files, the phone, and a couple of chairs for whoever stops by. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find modern art on the walls or a coffee machine in the corner. We mostly just drink tea from the stall downstairs. The H Siddaiah Road traffic is a beast during the morning rush, so I usually try to get in before the worst of it starts. Vokkaligara Bhavana is a large place, and we’re just one small part of it. It’s interesting to see who comes through the doors every day. Everyone has a different story or a different problem they’re trying to solve. We just do our part and keep the wheels turning. It’s a steady kind of life, working in a place like this. Hudson Circle is a bit of a hub for the city, and being right in the middle of it keeps us feeling connected to everything.
