We've been here at 11th Cross for a while now. Most days it's just us looking over power systems and trying to figure out how things can run better. It’s not flashy work, but someone has to do the research and development part of it. The office is tucked away in the 2nd Stage of WOC Road. We spend a lot of time on calculations and simulation models. People usually come to us when they have a technical problem that needs a real look from an engineering perspective. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks down and that's the biggest drama of the week. We just focus on the power grids and the technical side of things. It's a small team, mostly engineers who like to dig into the details. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We stay busy with various projects across the energy sector. It isn't always easy, and sometimes the deadlines get a bit tight, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm out there. We just want to do the work right and make sure the power systems we look at are solid. If you walk past the building, you might see us through the windows just staring at screens or talking around a white board. That's pretty much what goes on here daily. It's practical stuff, mostly dealing with electricity grids and making sure things don't fail. We usually grab lunch from the stalls nearby and then get back to the data. It's quiet work, but it keeps us on our toes.
