We are located over at 11th Cross in the 2nd Stage area, just West of Chord Road. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you don’t know the turns, but we like the spot. Our day-to-day usually involves a lot of technical consulting regarding power systems. It’s not the kind of thing you talk about at a dinner party without people’s eyes glazing over, but it’s important to us. We’ve got a group of people here who really know their way around an electrical grid. We spend a lot of time on computers running simulations and checking data points. The office has piles of manuals and old project files everywhere. It’s a functional space, nothing more. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. People come to us when they need an expert opinion on how to set up or fix large-scale power infrastructure. Sometimes the weather makes the commute a bit of a pain, especially when the rains hit this part of town, but we’re always here. We just try to provide practical answers to complicated engineering questions. There’s a tea shop around the corner where we usually take our breaks. It’s a simple routine, but it works for us. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a while and have seen many businesses come and go. We just keep doing our thing, one calculation at a time. It’s steady work and it keeps the lights on, literally and figuratively. We handle the research and development side of the power sector without fuss.
