Positive Clothing Co.

Positive Clothing Co. is located on the first floor of Shakti Arul Jyothi Nilayam. We are at 39/1 on the 1st Cross in Sudhamanagar, right off Lalbagh Main Road. The stairs going up are a bit narrow, so we have to be careful when we are carrying rolls of fabric up to the work area. Inside, the space is pretty much dedicated to the clothes. We have cutting tables that take up most of the room and sewing machines lined up against the windows. The noise from Lalbagh Main Road is constant, with all the horns and engines, but it’s just part of the background for us now. We spend the whole day measuring, cutting, and stitching different types of garments. There’s usually thread and scrap fabric all over the floor, and we sweep it up at the end of every day. It’s not a fancy boutique or anything like that. It’s a production space where we focus on getting the orders finished. We have a small desk where the phone sits, and it rings quite a bit with people checking on their shipments. We don’t have much in the way of air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that keep the air moving. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We just focus on the stacks of clothes and making sure everything looks right before it gets packed into the bags.
