Poornima Novelties

We’ve been here at Poornima Novelties for quite a while now. Our spot is right near East Shivananda Circle, specifically on Crescent Road in Kumara Park. If you know the Race Course Road area, you know how busy it gets with all the traffic and people moving around. The shop isn't huge, but we try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough space for all the small things we bring in. We spend a lot of our mornings just dusting off the counters and organizing the items that got moved the day before. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything. People from around the neighborhood stop by when they need something quick, like a small gift or some household bits. The street outside is usually noisy, but inside we just focus on the customers. We don't really have a big team, just a few of us making sure things run okay. Sometimes the weather makes it slow, and other days we barely have time to sit down. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years. Buildings come and go, but we’re still here in the same spot. It’s a simple life, really. We open up early, wait for the first few people to walk in, and then the day just goes from there. We don't do anything fancy, just sell what people ask for when they drop by.
