Persi Dairy Farm

Persi Dairy Farm is located inside Nakoda Arcade on DVG Road. We are actually up on the third floor, at number 59/1. Being in Basavanagudi means we are right in the middle of a very old and busy part of Bangalore. Most people think of dairy farms being out in the country, but we handle our business right here in the arcade. The stairs can be a bit of a climb but we have people coming up all day for their milk and other dairy needs. The morning is usually our busiest time because that is when everyone wants their supplies for the day. We have refrigerators humming along all the time to keep everything cold. DVG Road is famous for its shops and street food, so there is always a crowd outside. Our space is small and mostly filled with crates and cooling units. We don’t have much room for sitting around. It’s more of a place where you come to get what you need and then go about your day. I’ve been working here for years and I know most of the people who live in the surrounding blocks. We talk about the weather or the local news while I get their orders ready. It’s a simple way to make a living and we’ve been part of this building for a long time now.
