Our place is in the 21st Block, Type 2, over in Bangalore 560 034. It’s number 295. We do environmental work, which mostly means we deal with a lot of testing and reports for different clients. The office is full of equipment and some samples sometimes. It’s not a place where many people just walk in off the street without an appointment. We are usually out at different sites doing our jobs. When we are in the office, we are mostly writing up what we found during the day. It’s a lot of data and looking at charts. The building is just a standard block. Nothing fancy to look at from the outside. We’ve been here in Karnataka for a while. The team is small, just a few of us who know each other well. We have a small kitchenette where we make coffee and eat lunch. Sometimes the smell of samples from the lab area is a bit strong. We just open the windows then to let some air in. It’s a quiet kind of work. We don't have big meetings or anything like that. We just get our assignments and go do them. The neighborhood is okay, with plenty of places to grab a quick lunch nearby. We have some old filing cabinets that are overflowing with records. Every year we say we will clean them out, but we never do. It’s just a regular workplace. We like the work because it feels useful for the environment.
