Paxal Travels

Our office is on the 2nd floor over at 91/215 Sadar Patrappa Road, which most people just call SP Road. It's a very busy area near CG Road, and finding a place to park a scooter is almost impossible most days. We sit in a small room with a couple of phones and a computer that stays on all day. People walk up the narrow stairs to ask about bus timings or to book a car for a trip out of town. It gets pretty loud with all the electronics shops nearby and people shouting in the street. We’ve been operating from here for a good amount of time now. The walls are covered with old calendars and a few maps that have seen better days. It isn't a luxury travel lounge, just a practical place where you can get a ticket or arrange a ride. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to drivers and making sure they know where they are supposed to go. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to tell people to wait a few minutes while the page loads. It’s a simple setup. We know the regulars who travel for work every week and we try to keep things moving as fast as we can. It's just a regular day-to-day business in a very crowded part of the city. We keep the kettle going and just get on with the day's bookings.
