Patel Gift & Fancy Paradise

Our place is at 79/B Patel Nivas, right here in Jayanagar. It's a nice area to be in. We have a shop that is full of all the little things that make life a bit more fun. We carry fancy stationery, gift items, and household decorations. My family lives in the same building, so the shop feels like an extension of our home. Every morning, we open the doors and sweep the sidewalk out front. We spend a lot of time organizing the glass display cases. They get fingerprints on them constantly, so we are always wiping them down with a cloth. We have a lot of school kids who stop by in the afternoon to look at the pens and notebooks. They usually take a long time to decide on just one thing. We also get parents looking for birthday presents for their kids' friends. We keep a drawer full of different colored ribbons to tie around the boxes. It's not a high-pressure kind of place. We just sit on our stools and wait for the next person to come in. The overhead light flickers sometimes, and we have to give it a tap to stay on. On weekends, the foot traffic picks up and we are kept on our feet all day. It’s a good way to earn a living, and we enjoy seeing the familiar faces of Jayanagar every day. It's a pretty quiet life but it keeps us busy enough.
