Reunion Clothing Company

Reunion Clothing Company is at No. 204/5 in Parvathi Plaza, right on Richmond Road. The building is at number 105. It’s a busy street in Bangalore, so there is always the sound of traffic and people talking downstairs. Parvathi Plaza has a lot of different businesses, and we are tucked away inside on one of the floors. We sell clothes, but it’s a very low-key operation. We spend a lot of our time folding shirts and making sure the hangers are all facing the right way. The lighting in the shop is a bit dim, which actually makes it feel quite calm compared to the noise of Richmond Road outside. We don't have a big team of workers. It’s just a couple of us handling the customers and managing the stock. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. If someone likes a piece of clothing, they buy it. We have a small fitting room that we put together ourselves with some curtains and a tall mirror. Sometimes the elevator in the plaza is slow, so we end up taking the stairs a lot. It’s a good way to stay active. We’ve been here long enough that the other shopkeepers in the plaza are like neighbors to us. We share news and sometimes have tea together in the afternoons. It’s a simple, honest way to run a clothing business without all the corporate noise.
