Running a travel business out of Ejipura has its ups and downs. Our office is at 312/3 Vidyaranyapura, 13 Cross. It’s not a very large space, just enough for a couple of chairs and a desk where we keep all the keys and logbooks. We started with just one old car years ago and slowly added a few more as things went on. Most days, the phone starts ringing early with people needing a drop to the airport or wanting to book a cab for a wedding. The drivers are mostly local guys who know the shortcuts around the city, which is helpful because the traffic near Vidyaranyapura can get backed up for miles. We spend a lot of time checking the tires and making sure the air conditioning is actually working because nobody wants to sit in a hot car in this weather. Sometimes things go wrong, like a flat tire or a late driver, and then I have to spend the morning on the phone making excuses and fixing the schedule. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the fuel tank is never empty. We don't have any flashy brochures or fancy tour packages, we just provide the cars and drivers for whoever needs them. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our toes every single day. The office floor usually has some sand on it from people coming in and out.
